Our goal is to democratize access to market intelligence in the commodity markets, making it more transparent, accessible, and affordable
With over two decades of experience in the commodity market, the founders of EklipX possess both a deep passion for the field and an intimate understanding of its challenges. These include significant issues like a lack of transparency, insufficient innovation, and the complexities of understanding the impact of financial markets on physical commodities. To address these issues, they established EklipX Research, aiming to tackle these problems step by step
The problems faced in the market
We have identified several key issues in the commodity market intelligence industry that we believe need to be addressed:
Dispersed and Fragmented Information: Market information is scattered and fragmented, making it difficult to obtain comprehensive data, prices, analysis and other relevant information, especially in certain opaque markets.
Costly Analyst Networks: Building a robust network of analysts is typically exclusive to trading houses and is very costly to maintain, leaving smaller entities without access to such comprehensive information.
Expensive Market Intelligence Providers: Many market intelligence providers are extremely expensive. This is combined to a lack of flexibility, where you gain access to specific reports but only use a fraction of the information they provide.
Lack of Analysis: The current focus is mainly on data and news, which, while important, often lack the necessary analysis to make sense of the information.
These challenges highlight the need for a more integrated, affordable, and analytical approach to market intelligence in the commodity markets.
